Are you using Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation module? Did your data just go through a purchase price allocation or a Fair Market Value (FMV) study?
It used to be a challenging task to get your data updated within the Sage Fixed Assets depreciation (formerly Sage FAS) after having your fixed assets critical field data changed to reflect purchase price. Currently, in the system (as is) you will need to export all of your data, for all books, then reconcile and consolidate the FMV study with the FAS export(s) (plural because you can only export one depreciation book at a time).
Once the data is reconciled properly, you (or ProServ team) would have to create a brand new company in FAS, import all the information into a NEW company. Whats wrong with this process?
- Time consuming
- Loss of history records
- Loss of attachments to asset records
- Transfers cannot be re-imported
- Tax calculations will be moved to new fields, Beginning Accum and Beginning Thru Date
- Open for error when dealing with spreadsheets and a new import
- and more…
Fixed Asset Consulting has developed an internal utility that can handle these projects in a timely manner while keeping all of your other data, attachments, history, etc. in order.
For time-sensitive projects such as these, you need a better option. Email us today if you require this assistance.
