Jason is a high-tech executive with a 30-year track record of shaping winning strategies and leading organizations through transformation and growth.

Jason Johnson began his career as a US Army officer, serving in the 25th Infantry Division (Light), headquartered at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. As Medical Platoon Leader, he led combat medical elements of the 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, with deployments to the Philippines and South Korea, as well as to Kauai in support of Hurricane Iniki relief efforts. After 10 years of active duty and reserve service, Mr. Johnson separated at the rank of Captain to pursue his corporate career. 

Mr. Johnson has spent over 25 years helping major clients like the US Navy, Siemens, IKEA, John Deere, Verizon, and Caterpillar build and employ business performance measurement technology to better track and manage capital assets and associated critical business metrics. During the early portion of his career, in Silicon Valley, he held successively senior positions with KPMG, Proxicom, and Dimension Data. Subsequently, Jason served in several senior sales and executive roles, first in the telecom industry for Berlin-based TELES AG, then for Oregon-based asset maintenance software vendor MPulse Software. At MPulse, he was the Vice President of  Sales & Marketing for 6 years, before taking the reins as CEO from 2016 through 2020 and guiding the company through acquisition by JDM Technology Group. Prior to co-founding Fixed Asset Consulting in 2023, Jason spent two years as EVP, Sales & Marketing for Trivandrum, India-based InApp, a 500-employee full-lifecycle software development firm.

An avid outdoorsman, Jason spends much of his time chasing trout and bass on the rivers, streams, lakes and ponds of Oregon. He also travels frequently to fly fish waters across the US. Winter and Fall find him pursuing big game in Eastern Oregon or hunting birds with his chocolate lab, Bourbon. He’s also a devout lover of live music and a long-time Grateful Dead fan, or “Deadhead.”

An active nonprofit leader, Jason served from 2010 -2013 as Executive Director and board member for the Furthur Down the Road Foundation, a nonprofit organization “devoted to restoring and preserving author Ken Kesey’s original Furthur bus.” He has also served on the board of Rivers of Recovery, a nonprofit dedicated to helping combat veterans heal physically and mentally through fly fishing. Since 2016, he’s been on the board of McKenzie River Trust, a non-profit organization established in 1989 with the mission to conserve and protect the lands and rivers of the McKenzie River watershed in western Oregon. 

Jason grew up in North Carolina, where he completed a BA in Psychology at East Carolina University. He holds an MBA from UCLA, and an MA in English literature from East Tennessee State University, where he wrote his master’s thesis, “Zen for Americans,” on Gary Snyder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning volume of poetry, Turtle Island. He currently lives in downtown Eugene, OR, with his wife Sulwyn.
